Good metal furniture is worth saving. A wrought-iron garden set that costs IDR 15 million new can almost always be restored for a fifth of that, and the old Javanese and Dutch-colonial pieces you find in Bali antique shops are usually better steel than anything sold today. Furniture is also where rust shows first — thin tube legs, woven metal seats and table-edge welds trap water and salt. We restore furniture either on site at your villa or in our workshop, where stripping and spraying give a near-factory finish.
What Furniture Restoration Includes
Complete Strip-Down
Old paint and rust removed by wire wheel and detail sanding — by hand on ornamental scrollwork where power tools would erase the detail.
Repairs & Re-Welding
Cracked welds, wobbly legs, snapped scroll joints and missing feet repaired before coating. Small fabrication of missing parts included where practical.
Workshop Spray Finish
Collected pieces get a sprayed three-layer system in our workshop — the closest thing to a factory finish a restored piece can get.
On-Site Option
Heavy pergolas, built-in benches and daybeds restored in place with brush-and-roller systems and careful masking of decking and stone.
Villa Furniture Has a Hard Life Here
Outdoor furniture at a rental villa in Seminyak or Canggu gets moved daily, splashed by the pool, rained on, and wiped with whatever cleaner the staff have to hand. Standard factory powder coat survives roughly two to three Bali wet seasons of that before chips at the feet and arm joints let rust take hold. Restored correctly — chips feathered, steel converted, three-layer recoat — a set goes back into service for another 3–5 years, and the cycle of cheap replacement furniture stops.
We restore single statement pieces and full villa sets alike: a recent job in Ubud covered 14 café chairs, 4 tables and a 6-metre pergola in one collection run. If your furniture lives within salt-spray distance of the beach, we finish it with the marine-grade system instead of the standard stack. Rental villa owners often combine furniture work with an annual maintenance plan so touch-ups happen before guests ever see rust.
How It Works
Photo inventory
Photograph each piece (or the set together) and send on WhatsApp. We quote per piece with pickup included where applicable.
Collection or site visit
Workshop pieces are collected on schedule; on-site work is booked like any other job. Typical workshop turnaround is 4–7 days.
Restoration
Strip, repair, prime, build coat and finish — sprayed in the workshop or brushed on site. Colour matched to the original or changed to order.
Return and placement
We deliver, reassemble and place everything back, and the coating carries the same 12-month guarantee as our structural work.
