BaliAntiCorrosion started in 2017 with a simple observation: every gate, railing and roof truss on this island was being painted by general handymen with one tin of enamel and no primer — and being repainted again twelve months later. We came at it from the other direction, borrowing the materials and discipline of marine and industrial coating: proper surface preparation, zinc-rich primers, measured film thickness, and systems specified to the actual exposure of the site. Nine seasons later we have treated metal on hundreds of properties from the Uluwatu cliffs to the Ubud valleys.
How We Work
Photos first. Almost every job starts with WhatsApp photos. We estimate the same day, and we will tell you honestly when something is a DIY fix or not worth restoring — our DIY guide exists precisely because not every rust spot needs us.
Preparation over paint. Seventy percent of every job is grinding, sanding, converting and priming. It is the part nobody sees and the entire reason our coatings last 3–6 years where single-coat repaints last one.
Systems matched to exposure. An inland gate in Denpasar and a cliff railing in Uluwatu need completely different coating stacks. We specify by distance to the ocean, wind exposure and the metal itself — the logic is laid out across our service pages.
Fixed quotes, no surprises. The price agreed on WhatsApp is the price invoiced. If hidden corrosion appears once we open a section up, work pauses until you have seen photos and approved the change.
The 12-Month Guarantee, in Plain Words
Every coating we apply carries a written 12-month guarantee: if coating peels, blisters or rust returns on a section we treated within a year of completion, we come back and redo that section free — materials and labour. No exclusions for beachfront properties; coastal work is most of what we do, and the guarantee is why we insist on marine-grade systems where standard paint would fail. The guarantee covers our workmanship and materials; it does not cover new mechanical damage (a scooter into the gate) or sections you asked us to leave untreated against our advice — and we will have flagged those in writing at handover.
Materials We Trust
Zinc-phosphate and zinc-rich primers on all bare steel; high-solids epoxy barrier coats and aliphatic polyurethane topcoats for coastal work; premium alkyd and polyurethane enamels inland; phosphoric-acid converters on pitted surfaces. We buy from marine and industrial suppliers, not the decorative paint aisle, and we are happy to show you the actual tins on site — an honest contractor should never be shy about what goes on your steel.
